The Crystal Lake Diaries are a series of paintings resulting
from an intense visual memory-search into my childhood. Many of these images have been rattling around in my head for years
but I just haven't had an outlet for them. They may be mere romantic distillations, but I can assure you the emotive quality
for me, is truly intense.
Life on the mountain was all encompassing, not many people today can imagine the quality
of silence enabling one to hear snow fall, nor have they witnessed the blackness of an eclipsed moon in the forest. I don't
know what kind of person I'd have become if I hadn't had this life-experience.
